« Serengeti and Ngorongoro March 2008 Wildebeest calving at Ndutu » Tanzania animals and birds 2006 In May wildebeest and zebra pass through the Seronera area of the Serengeti National Park on their great migration. In May 2006 the grassland at Seronera was very lush and the number of animals particularly high. On this page I have tried to give feel of what it is like to be in the middle of the migration and the restless movement of vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. I have also included some of the other birds and animals that interact with and depend on the migration.
